What we look for
A minimum of a degree in music
BMus or BA in Music or Music Education. Some of our teachers teach with us whilst working towards their MMus or PhD.
Grade 8 on your first instrument
Grade 5 on a second instrument is an added bonus. ABRSM, Trinity College London, LCM or RSL Rockschool are all fine.
PVG Disclosure Scotland registration
We will re-register you upon starting, but already holding a live PVG certificate can speed things up.
Willing to work flexible hours
The school is open 8am–10pm, seven days a week, all year round. We also teach students, retired people and shift-workers during the day.
A proven track record in music education
Experience teaching in schools, colleges, universities or privately tutoring is a major benefit to your application.
Excellent communication skills
An excellent listener, confident speaker, and great at explaining things, enthusing pupils and making learning fun.
Impeccable timekeeping
Always punctual, and able to manage a busy diary proactively.
A strong teamwork ethic

Comfortable with new technology
Our booking & CRM system, teaching files and phone system are all cloud-based. We also teach online via Zoom and Skype.
