Edinburgh Guitar Lessons – Fun, Professional Tuition for All Ages

Our guitar teachers are highly qualified and have years of experience working within the music industry too. We make learning to play genuinely enjoyable while showing you the fastest, most rewarding way to build your musicianship, whether you're a complete beginner or an advanced player.

We've made all of our appointments pay-as-you-go: no paying upfront for a block, and you can stop at any time. It's entirely up to you how often you attend, so you can learn at your own pace in a way that fits your lifestyle.

The guitar's own story runs from the classical Spanish instruments of the nineteenth century through to the steel-string acoustic and electric guitars that dominate popular music today. That versatility means whatever era or genre first caught your interest, there's a genuine path into it here, from fingerstyle classical technique to blues bends and rock riffs.

Most of our adult guitar students are complete beginners, and a great many are retirees finally making time for a hobby they never got around to. Guitar rewards regular short bursts of practice more than long sessions, which makes it a realistic, flexible instrument to pick up at any stage of life.

Guitar lesson FAQs

I've never played an instrument before. Is guitar a good place to start as an adult?

Yes, it's one of our most popular instruments for adult beginners precisely because progress is quick and satisfying in the early stages. Most of our adult guitar students had never picked up an instrument before their first lesson with us.

Do you teach retirees?

Very much so. Guitar is a wonderfully flexible instrument to learn later in life: lessons are gentle on the hands, and our daytime availability suits retirees perfectly.
